Residential Window Tint

ProLayers is proud to offer multiple different types of home window films. Our residential window film can be used by builders and architects as they work on new home construction or by homeowners looking to enhance the looks, function, and security of their property even years after its construction or purchase.

Reduced Interior Heat

Residential window film can dramatically reduce the amount of infrared and visible light that pass through windows, leading to a cooler, more comfortable home that costs much less to maintain thanks to reduced HVAC expenses. This same window tint also reduces heating costs in colder months, as it enhances the insulation of your windows.

Improved Aesthetics

Residential window film can transform the look of your home in ways that range from subtle to striking. Whether you want to introduce depth and shading, add color or a mirrored finish, reduce window reflectivity, or incorporate patterned or frosted designs, the possibilities are extensive. Much like a frame serves as the finishing touch on a painting or photograph, home window film can elevate and refine the overall aesthetics of your property.

Enhanced Security

Home window film for security improvement works by dramatically reinforcing window glass against cracks or shattering. Strikes, whether from a would-be thief’s hammer or crowbar or from flying debris, will not break through a window properly coated with security film. Home window security film also stops glass from breaking apart and falling from the frame even after repeated blows or from major emergency events like a concussive blast or an earthquake.

Added Privacy

Home window film can block the view into a property by daytime without reducing the clarity of the view from within the home. Window film for home privacy can also block the view through windows after dark when you opt for a frosted window film, which permits visible light to brighten your residence but blocks unwanted eyes from seeing in.

UV Reduction
Ultraviolet light is a slow but insidious force wreaking havoc on the interior of your home — and even posing a danger to health through skin damage. Home window tint for UV reduction can block up to 99% of the ultraviolet light that is chiefly responsible for the fading and discoloring of home interiors, preventing damage to carpets, wooden floors, upholstery, artwork, and more. And UV home window film does not need to change the look of your residence or to noticeably reduce visible light transmission (VLT) at all — unless you are also interested in glare reduction window tinting, which is just one of the many more benefits or residential window films from ProLayers.
